WHAT DOES THIS MISSION STATEMENT MEAN?
St.
A's Catholic Campus Ministry hopes to introduce you to the best friend
you will ever have, Jesus! And if you already know Jesus, we hope
to grow into a closer relationship with Him. We hope you will come
to learn how deeply He loves you and wants to help you live a life that
is really full. We hope you will come to learn and to seek out the
very special plan he has for YOUR LIFE! We hope to introduce you to His
family: the Trinity, His Mother - Mary, His stepfather - St. Joseph, His
Bride - the Church, His special brothers and sisters - the saints, His
other creatures - the good angels. We also hope to bring you into
contact with those of his children He is most present to: the
poor, the hungry, the rejected, the lonely, the unloved, the beaten, the
lost, the ones we do not look at.
And
we must not forget to bring you into contact with His gifts, such as the
sacraments. More specifically, we hope
you will take advantage of receiving frequently, the Sacrament of Holy
Communion (the Eucharist), and the Sacrament ofReconciliation. These and the other sacraments give us
Jesus' supernatural, supersonic strength. This wonderful gift
called "grace," helps us to do that which we do not have the
power to do with our own human strength. It especially will give us the
power to love God with our whole heart mind soul and strength and to
love others, as Jesus loves us!
